Christmas Eve Candlelight Service

6pm @ GCC

The service will also be livestreamed .

The service will last about an hour. It is designed specifically to connect with people of different generations and different levels of familiarity with a church environment. 

There will be a short message specifically for the kids, and then the main message will focus on some aspect of the meaning of Christmas. The service ends with candlelight, where we pass the flame from person to person, representing the passing of the light of Christ from one to another, and we sing "Silent Night" together. We invite you to make the Candlelight Service at Gurnee Community Church a part of your Christmas celebration this year. We look forward to seeing you.

For Families with Children

We have ways for all children to be included. The nursery will be open for children birth through 2 years old. Children 3 years old - 5th grade will receive a goody bag as they enter with games and activities to engage them during the service. We will also have a short children's message. We end with the lighting of candles, which is a favorite for all of the kids. We are a church that welcomes children and are understanding of noises and movements. If at any point you need to step out of the service with your child, we do have a "cry room" available that you can sit in and hear the service.
