THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 28

Our annual Thanksgiving event will be on Thursday, November 28. We will be hosting recruits from Great Lakes Naval Base as well as members of the local community. The day includes a full home-cooked Thanksgiving Dinner for everyone, and afternoon tea for the recruits as well as the chance for the recruits to call home and play games.  It takes a large number of volunteers to pull this off - we have people from the church that volunteer and also many people from the local community - some of whom come back every year as they enjoy it so much.  

On Thanksgiving day morning we also help out with the annual Gurnee  Turkey Trot event. This event benefits our youth mission trips.

There are volunteer opportunities for the Tuesday and Wednesday before, the day of and the day after Thanksgiving.  We do require people to register to volunteer.  Register now!
