GriefShare is a friendly, caring group of people who will walk alongside you through one of life’s most difficult experiences. You don’t have to go through the grieving process alone. 

Our GriefShare support group is led by people who understand what you are going through and want to help. Through this group you will gain access to valuable GriefShare resources to help you recover from your loss and look forward to rebuilding your life.

GriefShare meets at GCC on Saturday mornings from 9:00 to 11:30 am from September 21st through December 14th. You can sign up HERE.

Do you dread the lonely days and nights? Wonder what to do with your spouse’s belongings? Feel like your brain is in a fog? Unsure of how you’ll go on? At our Loss of a Spouse mini retreat you will discover:

• other people who understand and have found ways to make it through

• Why it won’t always hurt so much

• Reasons for hope

• Practical tips for coping with the death of a spouse.

What to expect at the Loss of a Spouse mini retreat

Our retreat will last about three hours. Here’s what to expect:

Video seminar: You’ll view a 35-minute video with encouraging, practical advice from counselors, pastors, and widowed men and women.

Sharing time: Then you’ll get to talk with other widowed people about what you learned from the video. (There’s no pressure to share!)

A guide to bring home: Everyone receives a booklet with more than 30 short readings on how to live with grief and eventually rebuild your life.

Help and hope as you navigate the Christmas season

Wondering how you will survive Christmas? Are you dreading the holidays, knowing that everything has changed and that happy memories from past years can’t be recreated?

Our Surviving the Holidays seminar is especially for people who are grieving a loved one’s death. You’ll learn:

• How to deal with the many emotions you’ll face during the holidays

• What to do about traditions and other coming changes

• Helpful tips for surviving social events

• How to discover hope for your future

Here’s what happens at a Surviving the Holidays mini retreat

A Surviving the Holidays retreat lasts for about three hours. You’ll be welcomed by warm, caring people who understand what you are going through and who want to help. During the seminar, you will:

• Watch a 40-minute video, filled with practical holiday survival tips and the real-life stories of people who have navigated the season after their loved one’s death.

• Hear other seminar attendees explain how they are dealing with the holidays.

• Have the opportunity to share how grief is affecting you. (No pressure—this is optional. We want you to feel comfortable.)

• Receive a personal copy of the GriefShare Holiday Survival Guide.
